Ishan Kishan to captain Board President's XI in the two tour games against England Lions
The 13-man squad has been picked for the two one-day warm-up matches against the Lions.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCC) selectors today announced a 13-man Board President’s XI for the warm-up games against touring England Lions team. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan has been assigned the responsibility of leading them. The All-India Senior Selection Committee picked this team for the two one-day warm-up games that will be played in on January 18 and 20 in Thiruvananthapuram.
England Lions will tour India for 5 unofficial One-day matches and two unofficial Tests. The series kicks off on January 23 where all the 50-overs games will be played in Thiruvananthapuram whereas the Tests will be hosted by Krishnagiri Stadium, Wayanad, Kerala.
While selecting the side only those players who had no commitment during the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals were considered. The BCCI in a statement mentioned that “the players involved in the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals have not been taken into consideration for selection.”
Along with Kishan, the squad includes likes of Maharashtra batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad, the 21-year-old has been in rich form in the domestic circuit in FC as well as List A cricket. He was also picked in the IPL 2019 auction by the Chennai Super Kings, then there is 20-year-old Punjab batsman Anmolpreet Singh.
Seasoned campaigner from Baroda Deepak Hooda, Madhya Pradesh’s Rajat Pattidar, Andhra’s Ricky Bhui and Delhi’s Himmat Singh.
In the bowling attack, they’ve picked three spinners in leggie Mayank Markande, off-spinner Jayant Yadav and left-arm orthodox bowler Pappu Roy. The fast bowling line-up has Himachal’s Pankaj Jaiswal, Mumbai’s Tushar Deshpande and Delhi pacer Navdeep Saini
