Ishant Sharma is enjoying his time in the limelight as his career in the past 4-5 years has taken a new shape altogether. Being restricted to just one format-Test, the lanky Delhi pacer has been picking wickets at a furious pace and has brought on many changes to his bowling style which has brought him extreme success.
He was the most impressive bowler in the recently concluded first-ever day-night Test match in India, as he picked up 9 wickets in the match, including the first-ever fifer with the pink ball for India. He helped India to rout Bangladesh by an innings and pocket the series 2-0. Currently, he is enjoying his free time away from cricket and seemingly likes to watch Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
KBC asked a question about Ishant Sharma’s wife Pratima Singh and her sisters
Kaun Banega Crorepati is a popular quiz show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and is in its 11th season. In an episode aired on Wednesday, November 27, Bachchan asked a contestant on the hot seat a Rs 6.4 lakh question in the sports genre. The question was “Divya, Akanksha, Pratima, and Prashanti Singh are sisters who have all represented India in which sport?”
The options given were A. Wrestling, B. Basketball, C. Hockey and D. Football. The contestant guessed the answer, which turned out to be the wrong one and he took home Rs 3.2 lakh. People who love to keep themselves updated with news related to sports might have guessed who these sisters are and which sport they play.
Ishant Sharma definitely knew the answer as Pratima Singh, one of the sisters is his wife and is a national level basketball player like her sisters, who have all represented India in international tournaments. He shared the question on his Twitter account with the caption, “Watched a question pop up on #KBC screen about #singhsisters-I was like “I could have won that round easily” PS-Singh Sisters who are strong, talented and inspiration to millions of girls striving to achieve success. You all deserve this recognition and much more @SrBachchan”
