Mohammad Rizwan is one of the few Pakistan cricketers, who was a part of the Test series in England and is also taking part in the three-match T20I series against the same opposition. He is a chatterbox from behind the wickets and once his suggestion helped out Shadab Khan to a large extent. It happened in the 15th over of the Brits’ innings.

In the fourth ball of the over, he asked Shadab to plot Moeen’s dismissal on his own since Moeen Ali understands Urdu. Moeen got the strike after Sam Billings drove a tossed-up delivery down to long-off for a single. In the very next delivery, Shadab indeed got Moeen out much to Pakistan’s delight.

Shadab Khan dismisses Moeen

The leggie bowled a flatter delivery outside the off-stump and Moeen made a tentative poke at it. The ball found his outside edge and Rizwan had his travails while catching it. The keeper couldn’t catch the ball on the first attempt but holed on to it the second time around.

Rizwan had said to Shadab before taking the sharp catch with the keeping gloves. “Isay khudi out krna isay urdu smjh ati hai (think for yourself on what to bowl, I will not tell. He knows urdu).” Moeen could only manage eight runs off seven balls with the help of a boundary.

Apart from Moeen, Shadab also dismissed Tom Banton, who piled on quite a bit of misery for the Three Lions. Banton had blasted the bowling to a quickfire 71, laced with four fours and five massive hits into the stands. Shadab got the England opener out in the 13th over, minimizing the severe damage Tom could have inflicted had he batted deep into the innings.

In his four overs, Shadab gave away 33 runs at an economy rate of 8.20. As far as the game is concerned, the game couldn’t take place after England scored 131 for six in 16.2 overs. Thereafter, the heavens opened up and play didn’t resume. Apart from Banton, Dawid Malan and Eoin Morgan got into the double figures.
