The International Cricket Council (ICC), earlier this week, announced the team of the decade across all the formats. India skipper Virat Kohli was the only player to make it to all the three teams while only a few cricketers made it to the two sides. One of them was arguably the best all-rounder of modern-day cricket, Ben Stokes whose heroics led them to ODI and Test team of the decade.
The ICC awarded the caps to each one of the players who made it to their team of the decade and most of them flaunted it on their social media handle as well. Stokes also did the same posted a couple of pictures wearing both, the ODI and Test cap.
However, he was a bit miffed with the way the Test team of the decade cap was designed as it had a feel of baggy green. Australia players get the Baggy Greens (cap) after making their Test debut and their rivalry with England is well known to the world. Hilariously expressing the same, Ben Stokes changed the reaction after wearing the Test team of the decade wearing and tagged the ICC in his Instagram post as well.
“Very proud of both these caps, one of them just doesn’t seem right, it’s a bit BAGGY and GREEN thanks @icc,” the caption read. Responding to his funny post, ICC also hilariously apologised to Ben Stokes and tweeted, “Sorry @BenStokes38.”

Fans not happy with ICC’s Team of the Decades
Meanwhile, the fans are not entirely with ICC’s team of the decades. Interestingly, none of the teams had even a single Pakistan player despite the cricketers like Younis Khan and Babar Azam among a few others scoring a lot of runs and performing consistently in Test and T20I formats respectively.
The fans didn’t even agree with a few other picks even as the likes of Aakash Chopra and Shoaib Akhtar questioned the ICC over their choices. But none had any doubt over Ben Stokes’ inclusion in the teams thanks to his all-round efforts.
