MS Dhoni promoted himself ahead of Ravindra Jadeja in the batting lineup in Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) matches against Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). And, former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt is not happy with Dhoni’s decision to do so.
Butt stated that Dhoni’s move to promote himself ahead of Jadeja does not make any sense. Butt further reasoned that Jadeja is striking the ball well, and wants Jadeja to face more deliveries with CSK qualifying for the playoffs.
The former Pakistan opener even labeled the decision taken by MS Dhoni to promote himself as one that is beyond his comprehension.
“Why is MS Dhoni coming before Ravindra Jadeja, who is batting so well? Bravo, Jadeja both are hitting so well. Dhoni will be a mentor, will not play for India, so it doesn’t make any sense of him coming before Jadeja.
You are now into the playoffs, why don’t you give him more practice. It’s beyond comprehension, I don’t know what he is thinking and why he is doing this,” said Salman Butt on his YouTube channel.
