India captain Virat Kohli is experiencing a sweet phase of his career at the moment. After his hopes of winning the World Cup got shattered in the semi-final of the ICC World Cup, Kohli has not lost any series. He led India to win series across all three formats in the West Indies and after drawing South Africa 1-1 in the T20Is, India thrashed the Proteas 3-0 in a Test series under the ace batsman’s captaincy.
India are comfortably placed at No.1 of the ICC Test Championship and Kohli has now been rested for the upcoming three-T2oI series against Bangladesh starting Sunday. Kohli, however, has not lost contact with his fans.
Recently, the 30-year-old took to social media and posted a GIF showing a silhouette appearing in a spotlight on a green turf and rushing upwards to disappear. He asked the fans to caption it. The fans did not disappoint Kohli and came up with varied responses that included Mr Bean and Shaktiman. Some even called the player a “SUPER V KING KOHLI”.

Virat Kohli will lead India again in Bangladesh Tests
Kohli, who recently hit his career-best score in Tests in the second match against South Africa in Pune recently, will be back to lead India in the two Tests against Bangladesh, the second of which will be played under the lights in Kolkata. He recently eclipsed his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni to become India’s most successful captain in the longer format (31 wins out of 51 matches) and he will be looking to add to his tally in the series against Bangladesh, especially in the historic day-night game at the Eden Gardens. Dhoni, however, still remains the captain to have led India in the most number of Tests (60).
Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, will lead India in the three-match T20Is against the Tigers. Rohit just had a fabulous Test series against South Africa at home in which he scored three centuries – one of which was a double – to end up as the man of the series. The first T20I of the series will start from 3rd of November.
