Yuzvendra Chahal has been a revelation for the Indian team in limited-overs cricket. Right from his debut against Zimbabwe in 2016 to picking up the best T20I bowling figures for India — 6/25 against England and becoming a big part of the team, Chahal has gone from obscurity to stardom within a couple of years.
He along with Kuldeep Yadav formed a deadly pair which won India games at home and away, getting the ball to spin on any surface and even under the pressure. He was also pretty successful in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2019, picking 12 wickets. Today on July 23, he celebrates his 29th birthday and received a very peculiar birthday wish from Virender Sehwag on Twitter.
Isi attitude ke paise hain, says Sehwag while wishing Chahal on his birthday
Virender Sehwag is known for his witty quips and humorous wishes for other cricketers on social media and Chahal received one from the former India opener as well. Sehwag added a pic from the recent World Cup, where Chahal was rested for a game and was seen chilling at the boundary with drinks besides him. The image was turned in a meme by the netizens and the former India captain chose the perfect image along with a perfect wish as well.
Sehwag tweeted, “Happy Birthday @yuzi_chahal. Isi Attitude ke paise hain, baaki sab ek jaise hain!”

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal has been rested for the T20I series against West Indies in the upcoming tour, while he was not picked for the Test matches. The BCCI selectors chose him for the 3-match ODI series to be played in between the T20Is and Tests. Yuzvendra Chahal has played 40 ODIs and 29 T20Is for India since his debut in 2016.
Chahal has 71 ODI and 45 T20I wickets to his name in the said matches with best bowling figures of 6/42 in ODIs, to go with 6/25 in T20Is. Though he picked 12 wickets in the World Cup, he struggled to contain runs in the short grounds of England and the team of Chahal and Kuldeep proved to be ineffective in the second half of the tournament, as India crashed out after a defeat to New Zealand.
