Team India managed to register a consolation victory in the third ODI against Australia in Canberra having lost the three-match series earlier. The visitors defended 302 runs to win by a slender margin of 13 runs. It was a close game and Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were the reason why India were able to post a mammoth total on the board.
The duo added an unbeaten 150 runs for the sixth wicket after the team was reeling at 152/5 after 32 overs. While Pandya remained unbeaten on 92, Ravindra Jadeja slammed 66* off 50 balls to shine with the bat. Rather the latter went on scalp a crucial wicket of Australia skipper Aaron Finch as well apart from fielding superbly to cap off his exceptional day.
After the game, the southpaw was having a chat on Sony Ten in the post-match show and also had a ice-pack placed on his shoulder. Looking at it, the former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja was worried about it and also trolled him stating that the ice should be in glass. “I am worried. The ice should be in glass actually,” he said.
Ravindra Jadeja’s funny response
Ravindra Jadeja, at the other end, was in splits after hearing it and also came up with a brilliant response which led to everyone in the studio laughing their hearts out. The all-rounder mentioned that it is night in Canberra at the moment and is time for ice should be in glass. “It is night here. You are right, ice should be in glass,” he said.
As for the left-hander, he will soon be in the action once again from Friday when the first of the three-match T20I series is set to begin. Canberra will host the series opener before both the teams move back to Sydney where the last two matches of the white-ball leg of the tour will take place. Ravindra Jadeja is also part of the Test squad and it remains to be seen if he miss a couple of T20Is to take part in the warm-up games ahead of Test series.
