Virat Kohli bagged consecutive golden ducks in the ongoing IPL 2022 edition and his dismal form has not gotten better by any means. The 33-year-old has been short of runs this season with the highest score of 48 and has managed just 119 runs in eight games so far which is way below his usual standards. He has been dismissed twice through run-outs this season and has found different ways to get back to the pavilion.
The right-hander hasn’t scored an international century for the last two and half years, with the last one coming in November 2019 in the pink ball Test against Bangladesh, which is unlike his usual prowess with the bat. He still remains an integral part of the Indian batting lineup across formats and for the RCB franchise as well.
Marco Jansen picks three wickets in the same over
Earlier on the day, Royal Challengers Bangalore had lost the toss and were put in to bat first by Kane Williamson. Skipper Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat opened the innings and Marco Jansen was the bowler who did all the damage to RCB. The left-arm seamer from South Africa picked up Du Plessis for just five with a brilliant inswinger that got through the defenses of the batter.
The very next ball, Jansen picked up Kohli for a golden duck with a delivery that shaped outside and the batter was pushing for a fancy drive to be caught in the slips. In the final delivery of the over, Jansen dismissed Rawat as well and it meant that RCB were in a vulnerable position, reeling at right for three down at the end of the second over.
It was an excellent start from the SRH bowling lineup and RCB looked in total disarray. The fans on social media were a bit disappointed with Kohli bagging yet another golden duck but came out all in support of their batting hero.

@imVkohli we know you are a great player but if you are not in form or out of luck then let some other player bat at no 3 and you take the anchoring role in the middle overs! @RCBTweets, @faf1307, @CoachHesson Please think!#ViratKohli𓃵 #RCB #TATAIPL@IrfanPathan @cricketaakash
