Jacques Kallis achieves his career best record, shares picture on Twitter
Jacques Kallis was over the moon and took no time to share his latest achievement with his social media followers.
The former Proteas all-rounder Jacques Kallis is one of the finest all-rounders of all time. But he recently shared a record breaking achievement which is not related to cricket. Kallis, who has scored over 25000 international runs across all the three formats of the game, was recently seen busy golfing.
The 41-year old posted a picture on Twitter to display his achievement in the circuit of golf. Playing a round with television celebrity Dan Nicholl, Kallis aced the par-3 sixth hole at Kambaku Komatipoort Golf Club in Mpumalanga.
Kallis’ most treasured achievement
After the game, Nicholl took a light hearted shot at Kallis and said that “It was the greatest sporting moment” of Kallis’ life, as the all-rounder was all smiles on achieving the special feat. Kallis will coach the Cape Town Knight Riders in the inaugural season of the Global T20 League, which starts in November this year.
Kallis who also featured in the IPL, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore and then with the Kolkata Knight Riders, was highly successful even in the shortest format of the game. He was recently compared to Indian batsman Rohit Sharma , by none other than Kallis’ ex-teammate Jonty Rhodes. Rhodes compared Kallis’ laid back personality to Rohit. Rhodes has worked with the Indian opener in the IPL. He said that Kallis received a lot of criticism for looking ‘ laid back’. He added that Rohit looks like someone who would fall asleep while batting. “Rohit looks like a laid-back kind of guy. “Remember Jacques Kallis saying how people were critical of his approach and he didn’t look like a guy who was trying.” Rhodes had said. However, we don’t get to see much of his drives and pulls but the big athlete is totally into golf at the moment. Atleast, his Twitter profile suggests so.
Here are the tweets posted by Kallis and his golf partner or we can say rival, on Twitter:
