Disha Patani, the popular Bollywood actress, has heaped praises on Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The actress called the speedster a match-winning prospect. The heroine, who rose to fame with the movie MS Dhoni- The Untold Story back in 2016, was in the studio of the official broadcaster ahead of India’s fifth T20I against New Zealand at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

She was there to promote his upcoming flick ‘Malang’ with the rest of his co-stars. Bumrah ended up bagging the Player of the Match, picking up three wickets and gave away 12 runs in his quota of four overs. Over the last couple of years, Bumrah has developed himself into one of the finest exponents of fast bowling. After all his success, Patani lauded him for his contributions.

“If I had to pick a match-winning player, it would be Jasprit Bumrah. He is one of the finest players we have. It will be a proud moment for all of us on February 2, while Bumrah takes down the Kiwis,” Disha was quoted as saying in Times Now.

Prior to the fifth game, Bumrah didn’t have the best of series. But his stupendous show helped India to a 5-0 whitewash. The seamer returned from a back injury earlier this year and is deemed to be the Men in Blue’s prime weapon in bowling for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

In the meantime, Anil Kapoor, the veteran Bollywood actor, was also present with Patani in the studio. He didn’t mince any words in saying that Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, stands out from the rest.

“Virat Kohli is ‘sabka (everyone’s) boss’! His passion steals the game from any opponent. The Malang cast will celebrate India’s victory, post-match,” Kapoor said.

Virat didn’t have the greatest of T20I series in the land of the Kiwis. He got a score in the 40s, but was no where near to his best. He is now set to lead the national team in the three-match ODI series, which gets underway on Wednesday, February 05. The first game will be played at the Seddon Park in Hamilton.
