Jasprit Bumrah names his all time favorite cricketer
Bumrah also revealed the name of the T20 league he follows apart from the IPL.
Young Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah has made some serious progress at the highest level of the game over the last couple of years. He has cemented his place in the Indian side across the three formats of the game. He is certainly on top of his game and is currently working hard to get in to the Indian playing eleven in the ongoing Test series against England.
Recently, Jasprit Bumrah took some time out to speak things about cricket off the field. The cricketer was asked a few questions about his game and his aspirations in a video segment shot for ESPNcricinfo. In the video, he was asked to pick his all time favourite cricket and justify the reason for the selection as well.
Bumrah was quick to take the name of the former Australian speedster Mitchell Johnson as his favourite cricketer. He reasoned out that Johnson never let the batsmen dominate and often ensured that he kept on pressurising the batsmen with his aggression and precision.
Key to bowling yorkers
Jasprit Bumrah has made an image of being a death overs specialist for the Indian cricket team. He bowls Yorkers at will. Giving an insight to the key to bowling yorkers, Bumrah noted that the head position is very important. If the head is still whilst delivering the ball, the yorker comes out perfectly.
Rapid fire
The speedster was then asked to cite the best part about playing cricket for a living. He answered that it was his childhood dream to play for the country and to follow his passion is the biggest reward. Next, he was asked if he follows any other T20 leagues apart from the IPL, Bumrah revealed that he follows the BBL. He was asked to name a record he would like to have under his name at the end of his career. Bumrah answered that a good amount of Test matches under his belt will be very pleasing and satisfying.
