Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian fast bowler, doesn’t have any cricket to play for the time being due to the coronavirus pandemic. The current situation has made sure that he stays in his residence with his family members. However, he has been able to stay connected to his fans. Quite often, he has posted pictures where he can be seen, engaging himself in household chores.

He has cleaned his home and also did some gardening. In the meantime, Bumrah had something to cheer. On Thursday, his sister Juhika celebrated her birthday. On the special occasion, the speedster didn’t miss out on wishing her. The Ahmedabad-born posted an adorable picture with her on his Instagram profile. In the post, he showered praises on his loved one.

He took to Instagram and wrote, “You have a way of brightening everyone’s world with your warm smile & beautiful soul. With each passing year, I hope you shine brighter & all your wishes come true. Happy birthday Juhika. #sistersbirthday.”

Here’s Jasprit Bumrah’s post

Bumrah last played international cricket in the tour of New Zealand. He played in the two-match Test series where he managed to pick up six wickets in Wellington and Christchurch. However, on the same tour, he didn’t have a great time in the ODI series. He couldn’t pick up a single wicket and the Kiwis batsmen milked him without much fuss, which was kind of surprising.

Due to the poor show, he lost his number one bowlers’ ranking to Black Caps’ pacer Trent Boult. Earlier this year, he made his comeback in the T20I series versus Sri Lanka, but didn’t quite look at his best. He was set to ply his trade for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). But the tournament had to be postponed due to COVID-19.

The Mumbai franchise is the four-time champions and Bumrah has played a key role in their setup. Last year, he became the third Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to pick up a hat-trick in Test cricket. He accomplished the feat in the Test series against the West Indies. Currently, he is one of India’s indispensable members across formats.
