Shikhar Dhawan, the left-handed Indian opener is currently playing for Delhi in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In a match against Maharashtra, he suffered an injury just below his knee because of which he was taken to the hospital. And on Thursday, he shared a tweet for his fans in order to make them aware that the injury was not very serious and will be soon back on the field.

The 33-year-old has become a vital part of Team India in recent years. He has been playing as a regular opener in the national squad, however, in the longer format, Dhawan has not achieved much success. The Delhiite also traveled to England to play the ICC World Cup but an injury to his thumb ruled him out of the mega-event. Later on, he returned to the squad against West Indies but hasn’t given any impressive performance until now.
