Former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad has put forth some words of advice for the Men in Green ahead of their clash against India in the T20 World Cup 2021. The marquee game in the mega event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 24 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan have never beaten India in the World Cup irrespective of the format they played in. The last time these two teams met was in the 2019 World Cup at the Old Trafford in Manchester. In that game, Rohit Sharma scored 140 and made sure the India beat Pakistan by 89 runs D/L Method.
In their previous meeting in the T20 World Cup back in 2016, the Men in Blue got past their arch-rivals by six wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 37-ball 55 to script the win after Pakistan picked three wickets in the first six overs. Ahead of their next game, Miandad said that each member of the squad has to perform their roles with a lot of precision.

“It isn’t necessary that players who generally perform well will also do so during a match,” Miandad was quoted as saying on Geo News.
The veteran said that consistency will hold a lot of importance if Pakistan want to beat India. He also asked Ramiz Raja, the newly-appointed chairman of the PCB, to focus on winning matches.
Prior to the World Cup, Pakistan are set to take part in two warm-up matches to get themselves prepared for the Super 12s. Babar Azam and Co will first lock horns with Kieron Pollard’s West Indies on Monday, October 18 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.
Thereafter, Pakistan will face South Africa on Wednesday, October 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium Nursery 2, Abu Dhabi. Recently, Pakistan’s preparations for the World Cup were dealt with a couple of blows after New Zealand and England abandoned their bilateral series against them.
Hence, the players from the national team had to take part in the National T20 Cup for adequate practice. Pakistan have won the T20 World Cup once back in 2009 and became the runners-up in 2008.
