Jimmy Neesham mutes a few words on Twitter after All Blacks dumped out of Rugby World Cup by England
He took to Twitter and tweeted a screenshot showing that he muted words like 2019, England, World cup, forever.
The New Zealand Rugby team, known as the All Blacks were dumped out of the ongoing Rugby World Cup 2019 at the hands of England in the semi-final match and this has had farther repercussions than one thought. The social media is full of fans comparing this loss to the Kiwis loss to three lions in the final of the Cricket World Cup 2019 in June this year.
England won the final via boundary count rule, which was deemed highly controversial as the match and the ensuing Super Over also ended in a tie. Ben Stokes was the man of the moment despite the heroics by Jimmy Neesham in the match and in the Super Over. The controversial rule enabled England, who has hit more boundaries in the match than Kiwis, win the Trophy; something that the ICC has rectified now.
However, the pain continued for the New Zealand sports fans, as the Kiwis which became the third unit to lose two straight World Cup finals after England and Sri Lanka. This pain has now been further intensified as New Zealand’s rugby team the All Blacks lost to England in the semi-finals of the ongoing Rugby World Cup by a narrow margin and were dumped out of the tournament, giving fans more fodder on social media.
Jimmy Neesham’s heart breaks… again
Kiwi all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was the most heart-broken in the World Cup final, as he tried his best to set a difficult target of 15 runs for England in the Super Over, but still ended up on the losing side. In the aftermath, he had advised kids to not take up cricket as a profession, instead choose bakery, eat sweets and die happily. Not only the New Zealand side, fans, but cricket lovers all over criticized ICC for this idiotic rule, which led to a change.
With the All Blacks being eliminated from the Rugby World Cup, all those haunting memories came rushing back Neesham apparently, as he proceeded to block some keywords on Twitter to keep his feed from being flooded with Cricket World Cup final references. He took to Twitter and tweeted a screenshot showing that he muted words like 2019, England, World cup, forever.
“I think that just about covers it,” Neesham tweeted.
