South Australia and Victoria featured in a high scoring thriller in the JLT One-Day Cup at the North Sydney Oval with South Australian side taking the game by a margin of 11 runs. The home side posted a huge total of 356/6 in their 50 overs after batting first. In the reply, Victoria posted 345/8 as they lost wickets in a bulk towards the end.

Here we look at all the stats and records created during the game.

12.5 – Victoria’s Scott Boland conceded 75 runs in his six overs at an economy rate of 12.5. This is the joint 7th worst economy rate for any bowler in a List A match. (Min: 6 overs bowled) The previous worst economy for an Australian in a List A game was 12.43 by Stuart Clark in 2006 against Windies where he conceded 87 in his seven overs. Before Boland, no player conceded runs at more than 10.13 in an Australian domestic One-Day match.

22 – Balls Jake Lehmann took for his fifty in this game. This is the 3rd fastest fifty in Australian domestic One-Day cricket. Glenn Maxwell scored a 19-ball fifty in 2011 for Victoria against Tasmania while South Australia’s David Hookes scored a fifty off 21 balls in 1990 against Western Australia.

345/8 – Victoria’s 345/8 in this game is the highest for any team in an unsuccessful run-chase and the 4th highest in a losing cause in Australian domestic One-Day competition. This is also their highest total against South Australia going past their 343/5 last year at Perth. Overall, this is Victoria’s 5th highest total and the 3rd highest total conceded by South Australia in List A cricket.

356/6 – South Australia’s total of 356/6 in this game is their 2nd highest total in List A cricket. Their highest was last year’s 420/7 against Cricket Australia XI at Hurstville Oval. Their previous highest total in List A against Victoria was 339/7 in 2009 at Melbourne.

356/6 – The 356-run total conceded by Victoria is the 2nd highest they have ever conceded in a List A game. Queensland posted 372/5 against Victoria in 2014 which was also at North Sydney Oval. Overall, this is the 3rd time Victoria conceded 350+ totals in List A games with all the three coming at North Sydney Oval.

701 – The 701 scored runs in this game are the 6th most in an Australia domestic One-Day match. This is only the 6th game in this competition with 700+ aggregate. All these six matches were played in Sydney only (3 at North Sydney Oval, 2 at Hurstville Oval and 1 at Bankstown).

3057 – Runs Callum Ferguson has scored in the Australian domestic One-Day competition. He completed the 3000-run milestone with his 73-run knock in this game. He is now the 3rd South Australian player after Darren Lehmann (3963) and Greg Blewett (3544) and the 15th player overall to aggregate 3000 runs in this competition.
