Jos Buttler played the most crucial knock for Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Monday against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). His unbeaten 70 helped the Royals chase 126 on a tricky pitch comfortably. Deservingly, he also won the Man of the Match award for his brilliant show on the field. It turned into a special day for Buttler when he received CSK skipper MS Dhoni’s jersey after the match.
The official Instagram handle of IPL posted a picture of delighted Buttler with the prized jersey in his hand. It is a well known fact that England stumper is a huge fan of MS Dhoni and his finishing skills. He has time and again stated it as well in various interviews.
Even as the picture went viral, Jos Buttler decided to tease his England teammate Sam Billings in the comments section. He tagged the Kent cricketer to show that he finally got the jersey of his favourite cricketer and idol. Billings also came up with a hilarious response in Tamil stating, “Thambi Sambi approves.”
Billings himself was a part of the CSK set-up for a couple of seasons and he also played a match-winning knock for them. Overall, the England wicket-keeper has played 22 matches in the cash-rich league with 334 runs to his name at a strike-rate of 133.6.

Jos Buttler remains the key for RR
Meanwhile, Jos Buttler continues to play a key role for the Royals in this season of IPL as well. After not reaping great results at the top of the order, the management decided to make use of him at five as a finisher. He was fine to accept the change as well and eventually ended up playing a match-winning knock in a must-win match for them.
Rather the RR skiper Steve Smith went on to say that Buttler can have an impact like Andre Russell down the order. The latter’s form will be crucial for the team going ahead in the tournament and the Royals will just hope that their overseas players continue to do well.
