Journo tweets a photo of martyred Army Jawan Mohd. Naseer with MS Dhoni

An Indian Army Jawan named Mohd. Naseer was martyred today after unprovoked firing from Pakistan’s side at the LoC in Manjakot. According to reports, Naseer was wounded during the firing and lost his life on the way to the hospital. A journalist based in Kashmir named Mufti Islah uploaded a picture of the martyr alongside former Indian captain MS Dhoni who is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army.
35-year-old Lance Naik Mohammad Naseer hails from border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. The army resorted to unprovoked firing from Pakistan’s end at the Manjakot area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district today. During the firing and shelling from Pakistan, Naseer was hit by the troops on the Indian forward posts. The spokesman for Defence Ministry Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta provided with the official statement.
Mufti Islah took to Twitter to post a picture of Mohd. Naseer with MS Dhoni, as a memory he would cherish forever. The journo associated with CNN News 18, captioned the picture by saying, “The soldier who was killed in Rajouri in Pak firing today has this memorable picture with M S Dhoni. RIP Naseer”. It was only three days back, July 12, two Jawans were killed in sniper fire by the Pakistani Army in Keran sector of north Kashmir.

“In the fire exchange, Lance Naik Mohammed Naseer was grievously injured and succumbed to his injuries. Naseer, who belonged to Ajout village of Poonch district, leaves behind wife Wasim Akhtar. Unprovoked firing from Pakistan’s side started at around 1.40pm. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty,” stated the spokesman of Defence Ministry according to Times of India, while paying tributes to Naseer. Manish Mehta also added that Naseer was a brave and sincere soldier who loved his job to the core.
