Former South African skipper AB de Villiers recently announced his retirement from all forms of the international cricket. His retirement has certainly left a big void in the South African dressing room. Over the years, he has been a veteran in the team room and a name that youngsters looked up to. Another such name in the same dressing room is JP Duminy.
The veteran southpaw recently took to micro blogging site Twitter to congratulate AB de Villiers on having an illustrious career. Duminy and ABD have played a lot of cricket together. They have seen the South African side transition through various phases over the last decade or so. JP Duminy, in his tweet for AB de Villiers, went on to hail AB as GOAT (Greatest of all Time).
He noted that he feels honored to have played along side AB de Villiers and shared several moments of joy with him. He wished AB all the best for the next chapter of his life. The good wishes have come in pouring for AB from the cricket world. Recently, even the International Cricket Council (ICC) released a media statement congratulating AB de Villiers on an illustrious international career.

The news of AB’s retirement sprung the media all of a sudden. Only an extended presser can reveal the reasons behind this sudden move. For now, ABD has confirmed that he has not quit international cricket to ply his trade in any other country. He noted that he is still looking forward to playing in the domestic cricket in South Africa.
