Gujarat all-rounder Jaydev Unadkat recently came up with a video of him batting in a stylish manner that displayed some of his best shots in the domestic games. He wrote in the caption about his skills stating that he is another fast bowler who can bat. While he didn’t tag BCCI handle or any other authority, his intentions were quite clear.
The video came up after BCCI recently announced the squad for New Zealand T20Is and then the Test series. India has always been on the lookout for a fast-bowling all-rounder especially after Hardik Pandya has been inefficient with the ball due to his back surgery. While Venkatesh Iyer just got his golden chance right after one IPL season, it felt like senior all-rounder Unadkat missed it yet again.
Unadkat is currently leading Saurashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali campaign where he showed his batting prowess with a stunning half-century against Hyderabad in Sultanpur. Under his captaincy this time, Saurashtra finished second in the Elite Group E by clinching four victories in their five games.

The all-rounder’s team is all set to face Karnataka in the pre-quarterfinals of the competition which is all set to take place on November 16 in Delhi. Meanwhile, it is interesting to see if Unadkat can again step up with contributions in both departments of the game.
Jayden Unadkat earlier reacted on Sri Lanka tour snub too
Earlier this year when Unadkat was missed from the Sri Lanka tour which saw the second string side taking up the field, he came with a note to switch on his social media detox mode.
“At this point in my career, with all the useful experience that I’ve fortunately gathered, I’m only going to appreciate what comes my way and keep fighting till the very end. (and that’s not gonna be soon, sure!)
“Maybe that could be taken as being soft, but then, I’ll keep the ruthlessness and aggression for when I’m out there on the field. I am super grateful for your good wishes & support. Time to focus on my next game. and work even harder. Until then, social media detox mode on,” wrote Unadkat earlier.
