The Mumbai Indians registered their fourth win of the WPL 2024 with a 42-run triumph over the UP Warriorz, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday. Batting first, Mumbai put up a target of 161 runs with key contributions from Nat Sciver-Brunt (45 runs), Amelia Kerr (39 runs) and Harmanpreet Kaur (33 runs). The Warriorz could manage 118/9 in their 20 overs. Experts Reema Malhotra and Sushma Verma analyzed the match. Mumbai Indians’ spinner Saika Ishaque (3/27) also spoke exclusively to JioCinema and Sports18 on ‘Match Center Live’. Excerpts:

Saika Ishaque spoke about Harmanpreet Kaur's advice during her spell - "She advised me while I was bowling. The pitch was reacting as well, so she came and asked me, 'What do you want to do?' I said I'll bowl a yorker and she told me that it had to be a pacey delivery, and that's how I got Kiran Navgire out. Next, when Grace Harris was batting, she smashed me for a six. Harman asked me again what I wanted to do and I told her I was going for a slower delivery to make the ball turn, and I got another wicket!"

Ishaque on picking up her 20th WPL wicket - "I don't have a comment but I have gotten wickets like this after a long time!"

Ishaque on Jhulan Goswami’s advice: “Just speaking with Jhulan Goswami can solve a problem. Any problem, at any place, just speaking with her can solve the issue. I don’t even need to reply to her, I just listen to what she says. I did not pick up wickets in three back-to-back matches. Then, I spoke with her and immediately in the next match, I got a wicket.”

Reema Malhotra spoke on Shabnim Ismail’s performance - "She was troubling the batters. She was bowling fast, her fastest ball today got her a wicket as well. She troubles batters with her pace and when you place the ball correctly, it causes trouble, and that's what we saw today. Excellent spell. We saw her experience shine through and she showed how to maximize the conditions. For the younger generation, this is a massive learning, and she should be an inspiration. You shouldn't judge players on age because as long as you have the skill, you can dominate every match."
