Australian cricket team haven’t been able to do much in the ongoing tour of West Indies. Having lost three of the five T20Is, the Men in Yellow have already lost the series and they have nothing but pride to play for in the remaining two games. While the Aussie camp wouldn’t be happy with their show, head coach Justin Langer and dashing all-rounder Mitchell Marsh relaxed the dressing room’s atmosphere with their fun banter.
Langer was seen sporting Marsh’s kit during one of their warm-up sessions ahead of their fourth T20I. He was certainly the highlight of the practice session with all the other members being in their practice gears. For those wondering the reason behind Langer’s antics, the former Australian opener had apparently lost a bet to Marsh.
Justin Langer faces consequences after Eagles’ loss
On Monday, North Melbourne defeated the West Coast Eagles by 10 points in the Australian Football League. With Langer backing Eagles to cross the line, he lost the bet and wore the all-rounder’s kit as per the deal. “After Justin Langer’s @WestCoastEagles lost to Mitch Marsh’s @NMFCOffical in the @AFL, the coach was made to ‘kit up’ for the Aussies’ warm-up on Tuesday! Face with tears of joy #WIvAUS #AFLEaglesNorth,” Cricket.com.au wrote while sharing the clip on Twitter.

The clip also features Marsh’s teammate Daniel Christian revealing the reason behind the whole episode. “I am not sure of the exact bet. But it has something to do with West Coast Eagles and North Melbourne Kangaroos’ game. I am not sure what would have happened if West Coast would have defeated North” said the all-rounder.
“I don’t know what Mitch would have to wear. Maybe he would have had to wear some of JL’s cloth, small men’s training kit. But, I think something like that,” he added. Interestingly, Mitchell Marsh’s cousin Brad Sheppard plays for the Eagles as a defender.
Meanwhile, the fourth T20I takes place at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia on Wednesday (July 14). West Indies must be high on confidence and they would be determined to continue their winning run. On the other hand, Australia won’t like to suffer another defeat on this tour. Hence, they must put their best foot forward.
