Kagiso Rabada reveals the toughest batsman he has bowled to

Speedster Kagiso Rabada has been one of South Africa’s gun speedsters in all the three formats. He was impressive in the three-match ODI series against Australia as he finished with seven wickets. Moreover, he also did well in the one-off T20I against the same opposition at Carrara Oval in Queensland. He made his international debut back in July 2015 and hasn’t looked back ever since.

The 23-year-old is expected to take part in next year’s World Cup in England and Wales and is deemed to play a pivotal role as the Proteas would be desperate to get their hands on the coveted trophy. The 23-year-old has dismissed a number of batsmen with his raw pace and bounce, and recently, the right-arm seamer revealed the toughest bowler he has ever bowled to.

“So far, it has been Virat Kohli who has been scoring a lot of runs. I haven’t played as much against other nations,” Rabada was quoted as saying in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda.

Words of praises for Steyn

Kohli is currently International Cricket Council’s (ICC) number one ranked ODI and Test batsman. Last month, the 30-year-old became the fastest batsman to accomplish 10,000 runs in the 50-overs format against Windies, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli also has six double centuries in Test cricket. Earlier in August India played a five-match series against England and the Delhi-born cricketer turned out to be the leading run scorer, albeit he ended up on the losing side. He is next scheduled to play the four-match series against the Aussies.

In the meantime, Rabada also hailed veteran fast bowler Dale Steyn for being an indefatigable trooper of South African cricket. “Dale Steyn’s contribution to South Africa is immense. He’s been a contributor and won a lot of games for the country. He’s played a role in putting smiles on South African faces and inspiring the youth,” he added.
