'Kal humara match hai bhai' - Ravindra Jadeja's practice picture with Ajinkya Rahane confuses Shikhar Dhawan
The Indian cricket team is all set to resume international duties after nine months with the Australia tour of India. The tour comprises three-match ODI series, starting on November 27 followed by matches on November 29 and December 2. This will be followed by three T20 Internationals on December 4, 6 and 8. The four-match Test series will then commence from December 17 in Adelaide.
A 32-member squad will fly to Sydney, Australia from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) right after the final of the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) on November 10 in Dubai. Thus, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has created a bio-bubble for the Indian players in Dubai.
The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is a part of the Indian squad for all the three formats of the game and hence shifted to the Indian team biosecure bubble after his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings were ruled out of the 2020 edition of the T20 extravaganza. On November 7, Saturday, Jadeja took to his official Instagram handle to post a picture of himself and batsman Ajinkya Rahane in their Team India training kits.
He captioned the picture as, “Getting ready for the Down Under”.
Shikhar Dhawan surprised on seeing Ajinkya Rahane with Ravindra Jadeja
After seeing the picture posted by the Indian cricketer, the opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan couldn’t help and question the presence of Ajinkya Rahane in the Indian team training. Both Dhawan and Rahane are playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2020.
DC is not yet out of the race of winning it’s maiden IPL title and will fight with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on November 8 in the 2nd Qualifiers to cement a place for themselves in the finals against Mumbai Indians.
“Bhai Ajinkya kahan se prac pe aa gya tere sath. Kal humara match hai bhai (Brother, how did Ajinkya end up practising with you. We have to play for Delhi Capitals tomorrow) ” Shikhar commented on Jadeja’s pic.
Taking note of this comment, Jadeja was quick to respond that Ajinkya joined him to play the day-night Test. Here the all-rounder referred to the Day-Night Test in Adelaide that will kick off the 4-match Test series in December
“Pink ball Test hai isliye raat ko aaya tha.” Jadeja replied.
