International music icon Rihanna had created an uproar on Twitter by tweeting in support of the ongoing farmers’ protest in the country. She along with climate activist Greta Thunberg had tried to bring international attention to the protest happening in India. The tweet by Rihanna had triggered many cricket players including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and many more as they condemned the statement by the International singer.
Celebrities were of the view this is an internal matter of India and the Indian government is competent enough to solve it without any outside intervention. They also warned people to not let any external force divide the country and urged the citizens to stand united in tough times.
Such words by the national cricket players didn’t go well with many citizens as they accused the players of not showing solidarity with the farmers of India and instead of supporting the government in the ongoing protest. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was the one among many who was not happy with the Indian players for their statements regarding the current protest.
However, while criticizing the players, Kangana, who is known for doing controversial tweets, couldn’t keep a check on her words and posted a derogatory tweet on her official Twitter handle where she referred to several Indian cricketers as “Dhobi ka Kutta” and slammed them for not expressing their views freely.
Kangana Ranaut passes unacceptable comments on Indian cricketers
Kangana posted the tweet in response to a message posted by India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit had written, “India has always been stronger when we all stand together and finding a solution is the need of the hour. Our farmers play an important role in our nation’s well being and I am sure everyone will play their roles to find a solution TOGETHER. #IndiaTogether.”

To this Kangana replied, “Why all these cricketers sounding like dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka? Why would farmers be against laws which are revolutionary for their well-being. These are terrorists who are causing ruckus. Say that na…itna darr lagta hai?”
The microblogging site took note of this derogatory comment made by Kangana and deleted the tweet from the site. “We have taken action on Tweets that were in violation of the Twitter rules in line with our range of enforcement options,” the microblogging website said in a statement.
