Kapil Dev goes bald amid lockdown; pictures trending on social media

The Coronavirus outbreak continues to affect the human life across the world. Most of the countries are under lockdown which has led to people staying in their homes to contain the spread of the pandemic. Same is the case with the cricketers and celebrities across the world who have resorted to social media and different sorts of activities to keep themselves busy.

Moreover, some of the players have also donned a new look even as they have also challenged their teammates to do the same. Recently, India skipper Virat Kohli took up ‘Trim at home’ challenge and sported a new look with french beard after having a haircut from his wife Anushka Sharma a few days ago. Even Sachin Tendulkar did a haircut by himself and posted the video of the same on his official social media handles.

Even Australia opener David Warner recently went for a bald look in support of the healthcare and frontline workers who are giving it all during these tough times. And the new person to join the bandwagon is India’s first ever World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev.

He has shaved off his head completely and has also kept a french beard in his new look according to a report in the Indian Express. Several pictures of him have also gone viral on social media even as Kapil Dev could be seen wearing sunglasses and posing for photo.

Kapil Dev’s statement over Shoaib Akhtar’s suggestion

Earlier, Kapil Dev was also in the news for coming up with a statement in response to Shoaib Akhtar‘s suggestion of organising a charity series between India and Pakistan to raise the funds. He felt that playing the series doesn’t make any sense at the moment as the players’ lives will be at risk and also went on to say that India has enough money and they don’t need to play to raise funds.

“He is entitled to his opinion but we don’t need to raise the money. We have enough. The situation is unlikely to get normal anytime soon and organising a cricket game means putting our cricketers at risk which we don’t need to,” the former India cricketer had said.
