Katie Price calls Ben Stokes 'disgusting' for mocking her disabled son

Seems like the controversies for English cricketer Ben Stokes seem to be just starting. Days after his arrest following a brawl outside a Bristol nightclub, Stokes finds himself in a spot again as videos of him poking fun at Katie Price’s disabled son went viral. Price who is an English television personality and glamour model termed Stokes ‘disgusting’. The 10 second clip shows Stokes “mocking” the TV star’s son Harvey’s appearance on ITV’s Loose Women last year.

One of her friends was quoted in the British media stating that the video featuring the England Test vice-captain came to her notice after it went viral online and she is pretty upset at how her son was mocked. “Katie only became aware of this video this afternoon when it appeared online, but she’s very upset by it,” a friend of the 39-year-old added.

What was in the video

Harvey, who suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome and behavioural problems, was asked to reveal his response to any online abuse he receives from trolls.

“Hello you c***,” the son of Katie Price had said.

To which Stokes is heard saying, “Harvey, what do you say when people are being mean?” while loosely flapping his left hands in an impression of the teenager.

He then added: “Hello you c***” and roars in laughter.

Price’s reaction

“I don’t know this guy or why he would do this. It’s disgusting,” Price told friends, according to The Sun. “She is extremely protective of Harvey, as any mother would be, and has always made it clear that she finds any jokes about him totally unacceptable.”

Adding to the insult, Katie remarked that she had no idea who Ben Stokes was. “She’s got no idea who Ben Stokes is, and she’s never met him, so it’s outrageous that he would want to ridicule her son like this.”

“He doesn’t deserve this, and especially not from a man who is in the public eye who should be setting an example to other people. Katie has made it her mission to speak out against this sort of behavior,” the friend said and added, “She says, ‘No joke about Harvey will ever be funny to me’.”
