Kedar Jadhav compared to Lasith Malinga by Rohit Sharma
Rohit captioned the picture stating that they do not need to worry because they have their own version of the slinger Lasith Malinga.
Kedar Jadhav broke into the international scene when the cricketing world saw a glimpse of his ability to bat lower down the order. The batsman is believed to have the nerves of steel that is required to stabilise the innings when the top order falls apart. Considering his capabilities as a finisher, he has rooted his place into the Indian team and will be expected to play a crucial role for India in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Kedhar Jadhav was first used as a bowler by former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni against the Kiwis. The effective batsman has proved to be a useful bowler too since then and has puzzled many batsmen with his unusual action. His action is defined by a low arm swing of the hand while delivering the ball which makes it difficult for the batter to figure the spinner.
The main batsman:
Indian batsman Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to flatter the newcomer, Kedar Jadhav. Rohit posted a picture of Jadhav’s bowling action and paired it with that of legendary bowler Lasith Malinga. Sharma then went on to compare the two with reference to their bowling actions which is quite similar. Just like the curly haired Sri Lankan, Kedar’s arm comes flat from the side while delivering the ball.
Rohit captioned the picture stating that they do not need to worry because they have their own version of the slinger Lasith Malinga. The tweet read “Why worry when we have one of our own @kedarjadhavofficial”
Kedar Jadhav had a decent IPL stint though his team Royal Challengers Bangalore had a season to forget. Jadhav looked like the only positive in their IPL 10 campaign and made his way into the Indian team after the tournament. Virat Kohli being the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore had a close eye on Jadhav during the IPL.
