England batsman Ian Bell, who is widely regarded as a classic and orthodox sort of batsman for England, has picked his all-time XI and you would be surprised with the team which has 3 English men and with 4 players from Australia.
England Test skipper Alastair Cook, who went past 10,000 runs in Test cricket has been chosen to open the innings alongside South African legend Graeme Smith. Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting will come at no.3, followed by the Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
For the no.5, position he has picked Kevin Pietersen, who he regarded as a freak natural player who finds his own ways to score and is a naturally aggressive player. Kumar Sangakkara is in as the wicket-keeper batsman at no.6. Bell said that he could well bat at no.3, but he preferred that spot for Ponting.
He wants Mitchell Johnson of Australia to come at no.7 and play aggressively and to bowl quick in short spells. One of the best bowlers of this generation, Dale Steyn comes at no.8. Leg-spin bowling legend, Shane Warne is next being one of the most successful bowlers the game has ever seen. Bell also pointed him as the best spinner he has ever played against.
