Discarded veteran English batsman Kevin Pietersen recently took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his concern over the recent arrest of star all-rounder Ben Stokes. The English all-rounder was arrested in Bristol last night following an alleged brawl in the city. Following his arrest, albeit with no charges on him, the ECB director Andrew Strauss announced that Stokes will not be a part of the English team for the remaining two ODI matches against West Indies.
English batsman Alex Hales will also miss the remaining two games since he is also expected to assist the police with their investigations. All of this has happened a day before the English squad for the all-important Ashes was to be announced. Now, a major scare looms large on the certainty of Ben Stokes in the English squad for the Ashes.
It is a very well known fact that Stokes is a big name player and the current vice-captain of the English Test team. Amidst this situation, Kevin Pietersen reiterated that if Stokes does not make it to the team, then the English team should rather stay home.
“OH NO! Major Ashes scare! If Stokes doesn’t go to Aus, then England should just stay at home!” tweeted Kevin Pietersen.

Finding humor in the story
The out of favor English batsman took very little time to find humor in the entire scene as well. After showing his concerns for the English side for the Ashes series, KP came up with another tweet. Referring to his abandonment from the English cricket, Kevin Pietersen cheekily tweeted that perhaps it is the right time to bring him back in the English squad.
Funnily though, KP mentioned it in a hashtag that proclaimed him as an all-rounder. This was in reference to the fact that he could potentially replace the star all-rounder Ben Stokes in case the latter does not get selected in the English squad. Some dark humor there from KP, isn’t it?
“#BringBackKPTheAllRounder” he wrote in another tweet.
