Kieron Pollard teases Dwayne Bravo after helping Mumbai Indians seal IPL 2020 title
Pollard hilariously pointed out that Bravo is now behind him in the trophy tally as he expressed his delight over Mumbai Indians' win.

Kieron Pollard could not help but take a hilarious shot at his West Indies teammate Dwayne Bravo after Mumbai Indians won IPL 2020 on Tuesday. Mumbai Indians thrashed Delhi Capitals by five wickets to further bolster their reputation of being the most successful side in the history of the tournament. The reigning IPL champions also became just the second team after Chennai Super Kings to retain the title.
Set a target of 157 to clinch the total, Mumbai Indians scored the needed runs inside 19 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma led from the front as he starred with the bat. He scored 68 off 51 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes and remained on the crease till the 17th over as he held the innings firm from his end.
Apart from Rohit, the likes of Quinton de Kock (20), Suryakumar Yadav (19) and Ishan Kishan (33 not out) also made significant contributions with the bat. Earlier in the game, in-form Trent Boult had blown away Delhi’s top-order once again and finished the game with impressive figures of 3 for 30 off his four overs.
Kieron Pollard pokes fun at Dwayne Bravo
Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo have been seen engaging in banter on the field as well as off it on several occasions and the former was at it again on Tuesday. Pollard hilariously teased Bravo after winning his 15th T20 title, the most by any player. Pollard hilariously pointed out that Bravo is now behind him in the trophy tally as he expressed his delight over Mumbai Indians’ win.
“It’s a great feeling, means a lot. Fifth trophy.. Have been here for 11 years. We have a quiet celebration. He is a different West Indian. He goes at 6am to the gym,” said Kieron Pollard.
“The amount of trophies, the amount of talent that’s there, you can say MI is the best T20 team going around. The management, the support staff, the effort they put in to make. Dwayne Bravo you are behind me now (about number of T20 titles), I have to say that on camera,” he added.
Earlier in the season, Bravo’s team Chennai Super Kings had crashed out at the league stage after managing just 6 wins in 14 games. The season was a forgettable one for Bravo too. He missed the initial games of IPL 2020 and was later ruled out of the entire competition. Bravo played just 6 games this season and picked up six wickets.
