Kieron Pollard to be seen in action soon in India
Kieron Pollard will soon ply his trade in India when he plays for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The fourteenth edition of the competition will kickstart on April 9 with defending champions Mumbai Indians locking horns against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament-opener.
Pollard was last seen in action during the T20I and ODI series between West Indies and Sri Lanka. The right-handed batsman had looked in good touch during the series. In the very first T20I, he created history by becoming the first West Indian to hit six sixes in an over. Pollard achieved the record against spinner Akila Dananjaya.
Overall, he became the third cricketer in international cricket after Herschelle Gibbs and Yuvraj Singh to achieve the incredible record. Talking about Tendulkar, the legendary batsman was recently seen in action in the just-concluded Road Safety World Series. He was leading India Legends in the tournament and led them to the title.
In the final, India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends to lay their hands on the trophy. The former cricketer led from the very front and finished the competition as India Legends’ highest run-scorer. In seven games, he scored 233 runs at an average of almost 39.
