The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to host the postponed 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) from September 19th to November 10th in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The cash-rich league was supposed to begin from March 29 but the rise in the number of coronavirus cases in India forced the board to suspend it for an indefinite time.

As the much-awaited league is just a few days away now, the franchises and players have started exhibiting their excitement and thrill on resuming the sport after a long unexpected break on their social media. Making their social media game strong, the official handle of all the eight franchises keeps posting updates or fun facts about their players and the team.

World Lion Day was observed on August 10 across the globe. Taking note of this occasion, the Twitter handle Rajasthan Royals (RR) flaunted the tattoo of their player Ben Stokes and challenged the cricket world to name a cricket player with a better tattoo than Stokes.

Notably, Ben has a massive tattoo of a Lion family on his back. The England all-rounder got the tattoo of a lion family on his back at the age of 16 as his parents told him that he could get a tattoo only if it had a meaning.

Sharing the picture of the all-rounder, Rajasthan Royals wrote, “#WorldLionDay Name a better tattoo in cricket, we’ll wait. #HallaBol@benstokes38”

Hope we didn’t keep you waiting: Kings XI Punjab hit back to Rajasthan Royals

In response to this challenge thrown by RR, many cricket fans shared the photos of other cricketers who are fond of getting tattoos on their body parts. However, this challenge became more interesting when the IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab decided to take part in it. Not the one to back out, (KXIP) shared a picture of West Indies legend and their opening batsman Chris Gayle who has a massive lion tattoo on his chest.

Posting a picture of Gayle, KXIP captioned their post as, “Hope we didn’t keep you waiting for too long #SaddaPunjab #WorldLionDay.”

Both Chris Gayle and Ben Stokes will be seen in action from September 19 in the 13th of the Indian Premier League. While Gayle had opted out of the CPL 2020 due to personal reasons, Stokes was last seen on the match field during the inaugural match of the three-match Test series against Pakistan where the hosts outshined the visitors.

However, the all-rounder has made himself unavailable for the upcoming Tests against Pakistan as he has flown to New Zealand to be with his ailing father.
