Hardik Pandya struggled with injuries throughout 2019 and it was a year that never really got going for him. Since 2018, he hasn’t played a Test and to make things worse, he failed to score runs in the ICC World Cup 2019 semi-final. Ever since then, he didn’t play in any further ODI games for the team and he was last seen donning the Indian colours during a T20I match against South Africa a few months ago.

Since then he was nurturing his injury and was waiting for his turn to play for India. Besides all unfortunate events in Hardik Pandya’s cricketing career, there was something else that kept him in good mental condition and that is his love life. He was spotted with Natasa Stankovic a few times in the last couple of months.

When Hardik Pandya revealed his relationship status

The power couple was also seen hanging out with each other in Mumbai. On the memorable occasion of New Year, Hardik Pandya decided to reveal his relationship status on social media. Hardik Pandya came up with a special post on social media. He also shared a lovely picture with Natasa where they were seen holding each other hand-in-hand. By posting this, he made his relationship public.

‘Starting the year with my firework,’ an excerpt from Hardik Pandya’s post read. He also shared a string of pictures and videos on the micro-blogging platform, Instagram. In these images, both Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic can be seen showing their engagement rings.

Along with this beautiful post, Hardik Pandya shared a Hindi phrase. ‘Mai tera, Tu meri jaane, saara Hindustan. 01.01.2020 #engaged,” he wrote. [Translation: I’m yours, you’re mine. Let entire India (world) know].

Indian cricketers react to Hardik Pandya’s engagement

Soon after Hardik Pandya announced his engagement to Bollywood Diva Natasa Stankovic, many fans, cricketers poured in with congratulatory messages. Indian captain Virat Kohli also reacted to this good news. “Congratulations H. What a pleasant surprise. Wish you guys great times ahead. God Bless,” Kohli wrote.

India’s wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav, and KL Rahul also joined the bandwagon to wish their teammate in a grand fashion. Ishan Kishan, Mandeep Singh and Karn Sharma also congratulated Hardik Pandya while Khaleel Ahmed and Mohammed Siraj chipped in with lovely messages.
