KL Rahul climbs up 67 places in the T20I rankings
After the conclusion of the T20I series between India and West Indies, there has been a lot of shift in the player rankings as well as the team rankings. West Indies won the 2-match series 1-0, after the second match getting washed out.
The first T20I saw a run feast by batsmen from both the teams, as Windies posted a total of 245, and India lost the match by one run. The centuries from Evin Lewis of the West Indies and India’s Lokesh Rahul, which is the first time a batsman from both sides scored a ton in a T20I match.
Evin Lewis moves up 288 places as he smashed 49-ball 100 in the first T20I, whereas the Indian star KL Rahul climbed 67 places to be ranked 31 in the batsmen rankings.
A total of 489 runs were scored in the first match which itself is a record and the match witnessed a lot of other records being broken. India came back strongly in the second ODI, bowling out West Indies for just 143 runs on the same batting track but rain spoiled the match as Windies clinched the series 1-0.

The series helped to reduce the rating points difference to 1 point. Ahead of the series, India was ranked 2nd with 128 points, and West Indies at no.3 with 122 points. With the series defeat, India have 126 points, whereas Windies have 125 points. New Zealand leads the table with 132 points.
With 62 runs in the first T20I, India’s Rohit Sharma has moved up five places to reach the 17th slot and Johnson Charles with his 79 and 43 from the two T20Is moved to career-best 23rd rank. Ravichandran Ashwin moved from 7th to 4th rank in the bowler rankings.
Other bowlers who moved up in rankings are Bhuvneshwar Kumar (67th), Mohammad Shami (82nd), Dwayne Bravo (33rd), and Amit Mishra (104th) who returned to the bowling charts after his 3-wicket haul in the second T20I.
