KL Rahul gets trolled mercilessly after he compares himself to a lion
The Tweet evidently irked the Tweeple, especially after Rahul’s poor show with the bat in the Centurion Test.
South Africa has once again proved that they are indomitable at home as they denied India any win in the ongoing three-Test series. After winning the first two games comprehensively, the Proteas are now aiming to decimate the numero uno Test team by registering a whitewash. The nations next lock horns at Johannesburg for the final rubber fixture which starts on January 24.
Prior to the final Test, the Indian team, however, took a day off and explored the wildlife. The team visited Kruger national park and also Suncity in Johannesburg. While opener KL Rahul posted a photo on Twitter, head coach Ravi Shastri too took to the micro-blogging site to post a picture beside Cheteshwar Pujara.
However, opening batsman KL Rahul’s image with a cheetah has drawn much flak on social media. Rahul shared the picture and captioned it saying, “Just a Lion and a Cheetah chilling.” The Tweet evidently irked the Tweeple, especially after Rahul’s poor show with the bat in the recently concluded Centurion Test.

The 25-year-old batsman was brought into the squad for the 2nd Test after a batting collapse in the opener at Cape Town. Thus it was evident when the Twitterati unleashed themselves on Rahul’s Tweet. Some of the reactions were nothing short of hilarious

While the bowlers have been impressive a novelty for India, as they took all 40 wickets in the two Tests, it’s batsmen who have failed to make an impact. The Indian team has already conceded the Test series against South Africa.
The upcoming third Test will be a sheer test of India’s tenacity and the ability to perform in the rainbow nation. After the culmination of red-ball format, the teams will lock horns in the limited-overs leg. Thus it is extremely crucial for the Kolhi-led side to succeed in the dead-rubber fixture and end on a winning note.
