The rumours of the Indian stalwart KL Rahul dating the Bollywood Actress Athiya Shetty have been doing rounds for some while now. The two have been often spotted going out on dinner or trips together. Though Rahul and Athiya have not admitted to romance, their social media posts and comments on each other’s pictures speak a thousand words.
The rumoured couple is again trending on the social media sites owing to Rahul’s comment on Athiya’s latest Instagram post. On August 22 (Saturday) the actress took to the photograph sharing application to wish her mother Mana Shetty on her birthday. Athiya shared an adorable photo with her mother where the two can be seen twinning in the white outfits.
She captioned the post as, “No words could ever do justice…happy birthday to my whole. I love you, mama,”
While many of her industry colleagues and friends commented on her post as they extended warm wishes to her mom on her special day, the cricketer and her rumoured boyfriend KL Rahul stole the show with her lovely remark. In the comment section, the cricketer dropped a black heart emoticon, which sent the social media in frenzy.
KL Rahul will brace the match field in IPL 2020
The swashbuckling batsman was last seen in action during the India tour of New Zealand earlier this year where he had spellbound everyone with his brilliant batting. He had scored 221 runs in the five-match T20 International (T20I) series while he accumulated 204 runs in the One-day Internationals (ODIs). KL had also essayed the role of the wicketkeeper for the Indian National Team during the T20 and ODI series.
However, after that, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had suspended all the series and tournaments including IPL 2020 in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Karnataka Stalwart will brace the match field again in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League which is slated to begin from September 19, with the final to take place on November 10. KL Rahul will be seen leading his IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab for the very first time in the 2020 edition.
