KL Rahul was a part of the Indian Test squad on the tour of South Africa. However, he isn’t a part of the ODI squad but will once again feature in the T20I series. The Indian opener didn’t have a memorable series and failed to play a substantial knock in the second and third Test where he was picked ahead of Shikhar Dhawan.

With scores of 10, 4, 0 and 16, Rahul failed to create much of an impact for the visitors. His form in the longest format didn’t affect his chances in the IPL auction where the Kings XI Punjab bought him for a whopping INR 11 crores. Yesterday, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to share a review after watching the controversial movie Padmaavat.

It served as a bait for Twitterati who had a good time poking fun at him. Rahul praised lead actor Ranveer Singh for his brilliant acting in the movie. He also described himself a huge fan of the actor.

This is what he tweeted:- “Just watched #Padmaavat. Mind Blown by @RanveerOfficial’s acting as #AllaudinKhilji. Stellar Performance, Huge Fan.”

And the Karni Sena Jokes followed up soon

People raised questions about his recent form too

KL Rahul has been a significant batsman in the Indian batting ranks. While failure on the South African tour wouldn’t affect him much, he will be raring to do well in the T20I series given a chance. The right-hander recently held a streak of 9 consecutive scores of fifty and more in Test matches. Rahul and Dhawan have battled eye to eye for the opening spot alongside Murali Vijay in the Test team.

The Indian team will travel England during June and down under later this year. With the all important tour coming up and the fact that India lost their three previous tours there, the 25-year-old would be looking to grab the opportunity and give his best this time to ensure the team does well.
