KPL 2015 Match 25: Bellary Tuskers v Hubli Tigers, Preview
The contest gains importance as the winner of the match will advance into the qualifiers. Both the teams will be playing the last match of the league phase and nerves will be frayed.
The Tigers have seven points from three wins, two losses and one washed out tie while the Tuskers have six points from three wins and as many losses.
Ironically, the fortunes of both the teams changed with the change of captaincy. Hubli were forced to opt for a new skipper when Sreenath Aravind was selected to do duty for India ‘A’ against their Bangladeshi counterparts and Bellary decided to go in for change in leadership hoping for their luck to change.
Change it has made! The Tuskers who lost their first three matches, rallied brilliantly to win their next three to get back into contention, while Hubli have won two back to back matches with a new man at the helm.
Both teams are well balanced although the Tuskers are heavier on experience. Whether that will count in the end result, Wednesday will tell.
