Krunal Pandya opens up about the reason to propose his girlfriend Pankhuri Sharma after IPL 2017 final victory

The Mumbai Indians (MI) had a tough time in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), as the defending champions failed to reach the playoffs and ended up on the fifth position this year. However, the previous edition was a successful and remarkable one for the whole franchise as they became the first team to win three titles.

The MI  all-rounder Krunal Pandya who got married to his girlfriend Pankhuri Sharma, last year in December, recently came up with some exciting revelations about the time when he proposed to his then-girlfriend Pankhuri.

Both the Pandya brother, Hardik and Krunal appeared in the Vikram Sathaye hosted show called ‘What The Duck’, where both the MI all-rounder talked about their journeys so far and many other instances connected with it.

The Elder Pandya brother revealed that he proposed to Pankhuri just after winning the final match against the Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS), where Krunal has also adjudged the Man of the Match. The Baroda all-rounder played a crucial knock of 47 runs off 38 balls with the bat to take his team towards a fighting total and then finished his four overs by giving away just 31 runs.

“I proposed to Pankhuri once we were champions and were back in the hotel,” said Krunal during the show.

Krunal mentioned that winning the final with Mumbai Indians along with his brother Hardik besides him was a huge moment in his life. The left-handed batsman decided to add something more to his most memorable moment. He initiated that it was perhaps the right time to take the biggest step of his life and then eventually proposed girlfriend Pankhuri following the victory in IPL 2017 final match.

“I thought it was the right time as it was the best moment of my life up till then. We played in the IPL and I became champion for the first time and Hardik was with me. Everything was dream come true for me and I thought I should make it even more special and I proposed to her,” added the MI all-rounder.
