Krunal Pandya tweets KBC answer featuring himself to Amitabh Bachchan
Both Krunal and Hardik are set to play for India in the upcoming T20I series against South Africa starting September 15 in Dharamsala.
A brand new season of popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has hit the floor and as usual, the fan following is quite high. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s anchoring the show adds more to its appeal. On the show, questions are asked from various fields including sports and recently, a question on cricket saw even a national cricketer chipping in with his answer.
A woman contestant was occupying the hot chair when Bachchan came up with a question related to the game. He showed four cricketing surnames on the computer screen and wanted to identify the surname that a pair of brothers, who play for Mumbai Indians (MI), in the Indian Premier League (IPL), share. The options were Chahar, Pathan, Warner and Pandya.
The answer was Pandya as the two brothers from Baroda – Krunal and Hardik – play for the MI. And seeing the question, even Krunal, the elder of the brothers, chipped in with his answer on Twitter. He posted the image of the question being posed to the contestant and wrote: “Sir, ‘D’ ko lock kiya jaye please ???? @SrBachchan”. Pandya was the fourth of the four options. The Twitterati liked Krunal’s reply and came up with its funny responses.
Krunal and Hardik set to play for India in T20I series vs South Africa
Both Krunal and Hardik are set to play for India in the upcoming T20I series against South Africa starting September 15 in Dharamsala. The series features three games and it will be followed by a three-game Test series. The T20I series will mark Hardik’s return to international cricket after the World Cup as he was rested for the entire West Indies series.
Krunal, however, played in the three T20Is in the Caribbeans though did not have much of a success with three wickets in as many games. Krunal made his international debut last year and has picked 14 wickets in as many T20Is. He is yet to play in the other two versions, unlike his brother who is one of India’s most reliable all-rounders now.
Here is what the Twitterati came up with in response to Krunal’s tweet
