Kuldeep Yadav is the product of Anil Kumble: Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina, the left-handed batsman, believes that Kuldeep Yadav has been groomed by the former Indian coach Anil Kumble. The left-arm chinaman has taken the international cricket by storm and has bowled beautifully against Australia in the limited overs series. Moreover, he also took a hat-trick in the second ODI of the 5-match series against them and derailed the chase. Raina also commended the contribution of Brad Hogg in the development of Kuldeep.

The out of favour cricketer is currently leading Uttar Pradesh in the ongoing Ranji Trophy and also lost the first game while chasing a paltry score of 94. Raina himself was not impressive in the game as he scored 6 and 29 runs with the bat. Also, he failed the fitness test at the wrong time in his career when the selectors were considering him for the One-Day series against New Zealand A.

He will change in everything

Suresh Raina has heaped praises on the youngster Kuldeep for making an impact at the highest level so quickly. He also credited his success to Anil Kumble and the former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg. “Kuldeep Yadav is doing very well and the credit goes to Anil Bhai [Anil Kumble]. He worked really hard with him. I was talking to him [Kuldeep] in the IPL and he always use to message Anil Bhai. He is the product of Anil Kumble. He [Kuldeep] has done well with [former Australian chinaman] Brad Hogg. He is the guy who will change everything in bowling department,” said Raina according to PTI.

Speaking on his absence from the Indian national side he said, ““I am working hard and there is nothing tough in life, if you enjoy your process and enjoy your cricket and I have always done that. When I got injured that was a difficult time of my life. So it [the comeback] is nothing and I am enjoying it and things will come in my time.” But the cricketer refused to talk about the yo-yo fitness which he failed recently according to reports. You [the reporters] speak to BCCI,” he said.

He also backed his team after losing the first game and hoped that they will make a comeback in the tournament. “The boys are still learning. The wicket was little different. We have still five more games to go and after that match we had a chat. In the Duleep trophy you have seen wicket and its not in my hand to win the toss. So we had to bat on the fourth day and it wasn’t easy,” Raina signed off.
