Young Delhi pacer Kulwant Khejroliya is steadily making a name for himself in the domestic circuit. He is being tipped as one of the better left arm pace bowlers in the country at the moment. With a dearth of quality left arm pacers in the country, many cricket pundits believe that perhaps Khejroliya could be the answer to the many questions that the team combinations often come up with.
Some of the members of the Indian team management had also quoted that the Indian team is very well balanced at the moment. However, the addition of a left arm pacer would make it complete. Soon, veterans like RP Singh also conceded that the think tank should start grooming someone like Kulwant Khejroliya. While Khejroliya’s future developments remain to be seen, for now, the left armer is oozing fire in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2017-18.
In the last league game against Hyderabad, Khejroliya bowled a brilliant bouncer that had the batsman fall on the ground. Not only did he manage to disturb the batsman’s rhythm, he also ended up taking the helmet out of its place!
In the match, both players had their moments of joy though. Khejroliya accounted for Rayudu’s dismissal in the first innings and ended as the pick of the bowlers with 4/48 to his name. In the second innings, Rayudu scored a brilliant 103 whilst Khejroliya went wicketless.
Coming to the nasty bouncer, the action perspired when Hyderabad’s one down batsman Rohit Rayudu was batting. Kulwant Khejroliya bowled a nasty bouncer that climbed up to Rayudu’s head. His helmet was hit by the ball and the helmet fell on the ground. Rayudu was quick to realise that the ball could potentially hit the stumps. He somehow managed to stop the ball from hitting the stumps. The bowler and the other Delhi fielders went up to the batsman to check if he was alright.
