Lalchand Rajput picks his spinners for India's T20 World Cup squad

The former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput discussed the spin bowlers who can be a part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Rajput reckons Ravindra Jadeja performed well in the last edition of the T20 World Cup and will definitely be the first pick due to his all-around abilities. He further chose Washington Sundar as the second option, as the off-spinner is a little faster with his deliveries, and can be helpful on Australian pitches. Rajput added that Sundar has proved himself with the bat in international cricket and is a good fielder as well.

“Definitely, the all-rounder would be Ravindra Jadeja. Rajput reckoned the other spinner, who the selectors will be pushing to pick, is Ravi Bishnoi due to his quicker deliveries, and if he maintains to keep it straight, he can be successful on Australian pitches. He further picked Kuldeep and Chahal as his potent options due to their form in IPL 2022. Rajput concluded by saying that it will not be easy to hit maximums off Chahal with big boundaries.

“If Bishnoi bowls quicker and straight, he can be successful in Australia, while Kuldeep and Chahal have been performing really well in the ongoing IPL. In bigger grounds in Australia, it will not be easy to clear the boundaries off spinners, especially against Chahal,” Rajput added.
