Lalit Modi bids goodbye to cricket administration for now
Modi thanked the fans who made the IPL a major hit in the country
Former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi has quit cricket administration. The controversial administrator resigned from the post of the president of the Nagaur District Cricket Association on Saturday and said that he was taking a break on Twitter. In Modi’s three-page resignation, he’s called for the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) to be the best again.
He has said that he had a great experience being the administrator but also realizes that it is time to pass on the hot seat. He also added that he is bidding good bye ‘for now’. It will be interesting to see if this decision takes another turn in the time to come. He also thanked fans and said that they are the lifeline of the IPL.
Over the past 15 years, I have enjoyed every moment of my journey. But I feel that the time is now ripe to pass on the baton to the next generation. Modi also said that he has done his part and now it is up to the BCCI to live up to their promise. He requested the Board to release the funds due to RCA as soon as possible.
