JP Duminy was identified very early on as a potential international player, but having made his ODI debut in 2004, it was another three years before he cemented a regular place in the team. Now he has become a regular member and a reliable batsman in the South African team. The southpaw’s batting is elegant and graceful, with a silky cover-drive and a strong square cut. There is also a calmness about his play which proves an assuring sight for his teammates. His 29 innings have produced 905 runs at an average of 43.10.
