The inaugural edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) has lived up to its expectations. League stage comprising six matches sent the fans on a nostalgic ride. The final now is set to be played on January 29 between Asia Lions and World Giants. India Maharajas were knocked out of the tournament as they fell short of the target by five runs chasing 228 runs.
During the chase, stand-in skipper Yusuf Pathan also played his part smashing 45 off just 22 balls with two fours and five sixes. He hit one of the maximums to former Australia pacer Brett Lee as well in the 12th over of the innings and it traveled a huge 95 metres.
It was a length ball from Lee which Yusuf smacked disdainly over mid-wicket boundary for a huge six. His brother Irfan Pathan was sitting in the dug out then watching the action unfold and enjoyed the hitting to the hilt. After watching Yusuf hit Lee for a six, Irfan performed bhangra and the video of the same has gone viral now.

Irfan Pathan smacks fastest fifty of the tournament
Not only Yusuf Pathan but even Irfan enjoyed batting in the middle later in the innings. He hit the fastest fifty of the tournament off just 18 balls smashing all the bowlers out of the ground at will. The southpaw scored 56 runs off just 21 deliveries with three fours and six sixes and had brought the equation down to nine runs off last 8 balls at one stage.
But Brett Lee got the better of Irfan in the final over and India Maharajas lost their way to lose the game by five runs. Naman Ojha also starred with the bat for India scoring 95 off 51 balls but even his knock went in vain. Nevertheless, the retired cricketers certainly enjoyed their time playing cricket again and it remains to be seen now who wins the tournament on Saturday, Asia Lions or World Giants.
