Liam Livingstone seems to be a die-hard football fan and lately was excited while cheering for a team that he apparently is fond of. The England cricketer had to leave the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 midway after injuring his hand while fielding in the second innings of a league game against Islamabad United. The Englishman represented Peshawar Zalmi this season.
The batting all-rounder’s performances have not been up to the mark for a while and he was criticized by a fan for giving more weightage to football than cricket. Nonetheless, it needs to be noted that even though Livingstone has fared poorly on the cricket field so far, he has bagged a huge IPL contract by the 2014 finalists Punjab Kings.
Liam Livingstone hilariously shuts up a fan on Twitter
It so happened that Liam Livingstone on his official Twitter handle cheered for the English football club Blackburn Rovers who compete at the EFL Championship with a special message for the team that read ‘Day out at Ewood. Massive day! Come on the boys’.
However, one of the critics came forward and schooled the English power-hitter to focus on cricket and when it came to his notice, Livingstone gave a savage reply by thanking the troll as he wrote ‘Thanks Surajit’ with a thumb emoji.
Thanks Surajit 👍 https://t.co/yqEOmIjNsS

While the 28-year-old left PSL 2022 midway due to an injury, he hardly made any impact in the tournament having managed just 39 runs and two scalps from four outings for Peshawar Zalmi. The Peshawar-based franchise had a very good campaign before being knocked out by Islamabad United in Eliminator one.
After a forgettable PSL, Liam Livingstone would be hoping to make amends in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League starting March 26. Livingstone had represented the Rajasthan Royals last year. However, he was not retained by the former champions and went under the hammer at the IPL 2022 mega auction earlier this month where he was bought by PBKS for a staggering INR 11.50 crore. He is now a part of arguably the strongest batting lineup in this edition of the marquee tournament.
