The most number of centuries on debut came in the 2003 edition when as much as 3 batsmen scored centuries on World Cup debut. South Africa’s Gary Kirsten holds the record for the highest score on World cup debut with his unbeaten 188 against UAE in the 1996 World cup. India has Virat Kohli in the list, making his mark in the previous edition on 2011 scoring a ton against Bangladesh in the tournament opener.
